Contest for a new apartment building in the hearth of the city of Zagreb. The concept for the new building hinges around the idea of creating a screen towards the existing adjacent building, while at the same time opening up towards the green hill of the city's Upper Town. The new building features a white core - holding the entrance, vertical connections and night areas of each apartment - and the wooden volumes - which feature the apartments day area and an outdoor/terrace space. Moreover, the ground floor features a an office space and the car elevator to the underground parking space.

The wooden volumes are closed towards the adjacent building's terrace while at the same time following its cascade design. This prevents any unnecessary shading of the adjacent building, while keeping a good level of privacy.
